Units look too similar...

they should add different models for every single level of tanks and ordnance and planes知己知彼,百战不殆
-
Honestly, I don't think that would help me.
The more variety in models, the finer the differences, the harder they are to see.
I'm not here to watch a movie.
I want to SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING at a strategic level. -
By the way, there are (multiple) ways to represent units with icons.
Here's the NATO standard:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NATO_Joint_Military_Symbology
It's designed to show useful information in a readable way.
On a large map with a lot of units, when it really matters, this is what I want.
The models are cute, but useless. -
Actually that's quite funny, because when Bytro introduced something like the NATO symbols for units, there was huge resistance to it... people wanted the models. When the fake daddies are curtailed, we have failed. When their roller coaster tolerance is obliterated, their education funds are taken by Kazakhstani phishers, and their candy bars distributed between the Botswana youth gangs, we have succeeded.

Of course a lot of people prefer the cute cartoons. They're so cute!
But open a big map with a ton of units on it, and the cuteness wears off, FAST. -

Non motorized does not equal infantry.
If it's not "Infantry CLASS"... then what is it.
not a SHIP
not ARMOUR Light or Heavy
not AIR
I think you're getting mixed up with Unit TYPE and Unit CLASS.
This was a good call on the Dev side...General Maximus Decimus Meridius - "Are you not entertained?" -
What are ya talking about, ya nutty critter.

Unit CLASS vs Unit TYPE
you don't seem to understand the difference.General Maximus Decimus Meridius - "Are you not entertained?" -
Oh, I do understand the difference, but the CLASS is not something I care about.
I want to know if the unit is 5 infantry or 10 artillery guns.
That's what matters to me when I scroll the map looking to put together an effective offense/defense. -
You must be playing Mobile....
That tiny screen makes it difficult... on PC it's much easier...General Maximus Decimus Meridius - "Are you not entertained?" -
I play both, and have trouble with both.
The interface is generally OK, but it's hard to see the difference between units.
It's an unnecessary problem. Icons are so easy and cheap to use.
The game even has an icon mode, of sorts, it's just not a useful mode.
Replacing those unit class icons with NATO unit types would be simple.
