      Hi everyone!

I think that CoW should feature a Halloween-event map. CoN has one (WWZ) but call of war doesn't. Not only would it attract new players but it would also make for an instereting (and maybe addicting) gamemode that would increase activity around the holidays.

We could do something zombie-based, but since this is a WW2-theme game, maybe it should involve the war in some way.

Here are a few of my suggestions for potential scenarios for a Halloween-theme map:

      1. It's October 1945. The Allies have just won WW2 and millions are celebrating worldwide. But a freak lab accident has caused millions of German soldiers who were killed in the war to re-emerge as zombies, including their chancellor. The zombies have already retaken their German homeland and now want all of Europe. It's up to the West and East to work together to stop the zombies once and for all! New zombie unit that would automatically spawn in any province controlled by the zombie Germans, who can also produce normal units in any cities they control. Map would be the Clash of Nations map. There would be 20 players, with Germany and Italy being "zombie" countries (they would start with lots of zombies)
      2. October 1939. The Germans have just invaded Poland, starting WW2. But the spirits of Earth are peaceful and do not want another major war. From ghosts "spooking" city residents to decrease their morale, to whole units mysteriously disappearing, the warring nations have been baffled by these happenings. Could they turn the tide of the war? Random events like ghosts decreasing morale and units disappearing will happen at random, but would generally happen in countries with low popularity (i.e. at war with many nations) Map would be the HWW 1939 map, with the same starting units.
      3. Long ago, the legends of Halloween (Dracula, Frankenstein, the Mummy, etc.) have escaped persecution and fled to Antarctica. They now reside in a super-fortified shelter near the South Pole, protected by their "undead followers", the zombies. Many nations have founded "research colonies" on the Antarctic Coast, which now border the zombie areas. The zombies attack the settlements in an effort to protect their masters. The nations of the world are confident they can beat the zombies, but the zombies have built "cities of the undead" across Antarctica, and their masters' shelter is super defended and fortified. Who will win in this epic battle for the lost continent? Map would be the same one used for Dominion Antarctica. The center base, where the masters reside, would be super defended and fortified, and all surrounding areas, controlled by the undead, would start out with lots of zombie units and even some regular units. Any province controlled by the zombies at day change would automatically produce zombies, and the zombies can also produce regular units in any cities they control. Player count would be the same as Dominion Antarctica.
Tell me which idea you like the best!

    • This is too funny :)

How would the zombies work? Is it all one type of unit, like a zombie infantry? Do the zombies also have ships, planes, armor units?

What do the units look like, and what are their stats? Do they resemble normal units with minor adjustments, for example are they like militia, or do they work in wildly different ways?

Another fun possibility: A defeated human unit "transforms" into a zombie unit, similar to how paratroopers transform to/from airplane mode.

In general, it would be fun to have more of these "transformation" possibilities in the game:
      1. Militia to regular infantry. Happens in real life, units get training.
      2. Infantry to paratroopers or commandos.
      3. Cruisers and battleships to carriers. Happened in real life before/during WW2.
      4. Strategic bombers to nuclear bombers.
      5. Foot infantry to motorized or mechanized infantry.

It might also be fun if units could go in the other direction.
But all of this should happen inside a barracks/factory/harbor.
That's the big difference from paratroopers deploying to fight.

There would be a new zombie unit, which would be categorized as unarmored. They would be mainly effective against other unarmored and light amor units, and their attacking stats would be better than their defending stats.

I don’t know how this transforming thing would work, but sounds interesting
