Would apprechiate advanced notice for scheduled maintenances with expected timeframe.
The only problem I have with these downtimes is that they happen almost exclusively when I'm making a move on quiet important operations. -

The information that we have given you is all that we know on this issue. The moment more information becomes available, we will notify you as soon as possible. Sincere apologies for the trouble. -
My original post expressed my own apology about the lack of notice given.
CzarHelliosl has also expressed the same regret that we [staff] were not given notice and therefore had no warning of the maintenance to let users know it was scheduled.
There was a notice in the games [a pop-up] a few mins before the servers went down.
This announcement was then made immediately.
As more information is released to us regarding the length of this maintenance downtime it will be added to this topic.

are all actions paused?
The reason i ask and the issue I may have is I was not aware this maintenance was taking place, so I had set my troops to invade multiple places that I could not see with the intent of stopping them before they committed to battle if necessary.
If the actions in the games were not frozen, there is a very real chance that my invasion has been damaged or that my opponent has managed to invade me unopposed by anything including my bomber squadrons on standby for just such an occasion.
As this has been down for a long period those are more and more likely real issues. im about a month into the game. As others have stated, a few k gold doesn't help a devastated army.
I would be much more patient if this was an unexpected issue that broke something, those things happen, but to plan maintenance and not send it out as an email, which judging by all the emails i get asking me to buy gold, you are capable of doing, or to put it as front page news on the login screen, gives the appearance of not caring about your customer base. -

I managed to get onto my game briefly before it suddenly just stopped again and I am back to trying to get past the loading screen.
What I was able to gather though, was as a result of not being able to pull out certain troop movements and committing other movements that I had planned but not initiated, I have now suffered serious casualties as a result of not being able to access my game for several hours. Casualties that have set me back both hours of game time and planning, and casualties that are not going to be easily fixed. These casualties would have easily been avoided had I either been warned that there was going to be maintenance checks (I know not the fault of anyone here) or if troop movements ceased during down time.
It has been at least 15 minutes since I first managed to get on to access the damage, and now I am stuck looking at a loading screen, wondering what else is going to go wrong because there was not enough time to check everything before the game froze.
I honestly don't think any amount of gold, thrown my way as some sort of compensation, will make up for it. Not because I am a die hard gamer, but simply because of the absurdity of the situation that I now find myself in, because of circumstances out of my control.
