When soloing you get gold award plus victory points in gold I believe.

When you obtain a victory with a coalition you dont get any bonus, just the gold award. This was said to prevent a rat race between coalition members,, Ok agreed on that, but what is there against taking the bonus and sharing it equally under all coalition members, so excess points will give addditional gold (not really needed) next to the reward, this prevents the awkward situations where people at second place and solo obtain more gold than the coalition which won, which is odd.
