Major updates taking too long to arrive?

As far as I have noticed other from small bug fixes here and there and some little improvents the game takes a very long time to evolve.....
Maybe it's just me.... though perhaps major updates take too long to arrive?

Btw did bytro indicate when will the next major update arrive?

Often big updates and huge game improvements can take months to complete, and not too long ago CoW 2.0 came out, which surely took quite a bit of work, plus with old game mechanic that were considered a long time ago are now re-arriving, it may take a while to get a 'major update' in your context.
