    • Mechanized infantry+TDs Vs. commandos+TDs for allies doctrine?

The commandos got lower hp and are offensive so with TDs it's like water and oil...also their lethality against light armoured units feel like overkill with TDs around (and TDs are necessary to deal with the heavy tanks)

Mechanized infantry solve these issues but as light armoured it feels quite suspectible to anti armour focused enemy armies....also it deals slightly less damage against unarmoured units (the main targets in our case here since TDs handle the armoured units).....

Which do you think is better? Both are buffed for allies doctrine. (Also with SPAA and SP artillery with them)

simply, dont attack with these units, you fire with artillery behind these stacks or with airforce until the stack can take the center of the province. Anti tank guns TD are quite a bit weaker in the offense so the waiting game vs an enemy yusing (anti-)armor or infantry is in your advantage
    • Exactly, don't try to build a stack for offense and defense. This will never be able to stand up to a stack designed for one purpose. Also consider what you're defending.

If you're defending a city, AA guns + AT guns + Infantry are perfect.

If you're defending plains, then Mech Inf, AC, MT, HT are good choices. But why defend pains?

If you're blitzing (moving fast, attacking behind enemy lines) then AC, LT, MT, Mot AA are good choices.

If you're screening your artillery from damage, then if your artillery is fast (Mot Arty, Mot Rocket Arty) you'll need TD + AC. But if your artillery is slow, then AT + Infantry + a few AC for scouting is good enough.

Commandos don't really combine with anything. Their specialties are stealth and rough terrain. They should be on their own, crossing rough terrain to attack soft targets behind the front line. Maybe followed by militia + AT to defend whatever the commandos capture. If commandos are combined with normal (visible) units and units that move slowly over rough terrain, then both of the commandos biggest skills are negated. Like combining a fast attack unit with a slow unit, you just get a slow stack.

In simple words, artillery + meat shield :D

Also commandos are seriously underpowered, which is discussed in many threads; hopefully someone above sees our objections.

Depends really; I prefer neither for meat shielding. Mech inf is pretty tanky HP-wise, and doesn't require the goods needed for tacs, strats, SPAA and SP arty, so I'd say mech inf. Commandos are expensive and seriously not worth unless for stealth (which I guess is the point ^^)
Have an amazing rest of your day ^^

    • Exactly, artillery plus meat shield, that's where most of the kills come from.

The nice thing about AC in your meat shield is they double as recon units, which saves in research time and costs. Plus the meat shield should not be fighting very often, it's more insurance than shield.
