Yes, the non-aligned are a separate faction.

Also in the joinging the round thread, can USA, USSR and UK make level 2 buildings during landswap?
It might be easier to say what buildings only those countries are allowed to say as well.

Yes, these countries can make level 2 buildings during the landswap. They can also build buildings like airbases and naval bases that the other countries can't build during the landswap.

Also, is there a limit on what we can research at any time? e.g. if I was Turkey and wanted aircraft carrier but could have one until 1970, in the mean time can I research all the way to make level aircraft carrier before I am allowed to produce.

You can research what ever you want. The limits are just for what you can produce.

There is no limit on levels (except blueprints) or research - just the number of units.

The RP starts beginning of day 7 (July 1950). This doesn’t signal beginning of war - but you can start RPing your way up to war if you want to.
