Here are some helpful tips I made specifically for the Dominion: Antarctica map. Feel free to share yours as well.
... seems nooby.
But this player:
seems experienced.
Identify the experienced players early on, and either A) avoid combat with them as long as possible, or B) if they look weaker than you, attack them and take their (non-core) land.
- Stack your starting inf. Don't send single inf units to attack enemy provinces, in most provinces the AI start with a unit. Remember that all the enemy AI are Axis doctrine, so grouping is very important, especially if you are a Comintern nation.
- Head for the cities. The cities in the enemy corps produce more resources than normal cities, so get as many as you can. It is a good strategy to assemble a stack of 10 units and head for the nearest city, not worrying about any provinces that might be left undefended along the way.
- Naval is useless. Don't build it. Other players' bases are impenetrable, so you cannot bombard them.
- Strats and NBs are also useless. Remember, players' starting area is impenetrable.
- Use fast units. Since you want to get to the bases as soon as possible, prioritize units like mot. inf, AC and LT in the early game.
- Air combat is almost essential, especially when taking out the bases. All the bases start with advanced units like RR guns and SPRA, so even sending regular arty is a bad idea. Make sure you scout provinces so you know what's in them before you attack.
- Ally with players. Early on in the game it should be easy to tell which players are good and which are not.
