      The players tend to join the hoping to get most powerful countries in maps like this. Then leave the game and are kicked due to inactivity. By adding random selection this can be stopped and a bit fair chance to every player joining can be given.

    • A point is had, but it would also dissuade people who target specific doctrines, or seek challenges, or indeed those who like playing as huge countries. Basically everyone who cares about which country they play as, which is most people.
      I'd like to see a solution to the inactivity that dominates HWW as much as anyone but I don't think this is going to do it.

      Exactly, people would feel cheated and uninterested, and many would still join and leave in hopes of randomly getting a huge country.
