    • Nearly the end of day eight:

As you can see, our conquests of Belgian and Portuguese colonies in Africa have ended: we have bigger fish to fry! As seen with the capture of Madagascar and a very large chunk of French territory. We faced very little resistance: Libreville was taken when I was sleeping so I don't know exactly what was there, but it took out a big chunk of hitpoints from the single medium tank that took it, and the only unit I remember facing was a single armoured car, which succumbed to my single SPArt in about an hour. Soalala (there were no units in Madagascar btw) has also fallen, and so I'm heavily militarising what I have dubbed "The Giga Corridor", which is the space inbetween British territory in the most northerly part of our country, in modern-day Chad, in order to get to the next nearest French city, which is Ouagadougou.

Leopoldville has also begun production, as there was already an ordnance foundry there when I captured it from Belgium, so Artillery have been producing there.

The three main units I am now using are Medium Tanks, SP Artillery (but cities with lower level ordnance foundries and morale produce standard artillery) and Militia (as my resources are still not where I want them to be), as well as tactical bombers and interceptors while I am also researching Attack Bombers, but I am yet to invest in my navy (however I will begin to do so once my level five industry completes in Durban).

Greetings Comrades! Yesterday I joined a HWW as South Africa, so I'm making a playthrough of it.

South Africa has a pretty poor starting army. At the start of the game, it has just ten units, which is worse than even Persia. However its situation amongst pretty demilitiarised colonial areas gives it an advantage. As such, in the early game, I plan to invade Portuguese and Belgian colonies. I have forged a friendly relationship with Britain, but I'm planning to split Britain's African territories with British Egypt, as Britain will most likely send troops to deal with Egypt as it is geographically closer to the lion's share of Britain's army, while I close in on Britain's troops in Egypt and gain control of most of Africa.

      Anyways, research.

I have focused on Militia due to SA's lack of resources and respectable military. However, I have also researched SP Artillery and Mechanised Infantry, as well as SP Anti Air.

Industry has also been a heavy priority. Level Three Industry has been built in Windhoek, Capetown, Port Elizabeth and Gaborone, while Level Four Industry is being constructed in Pretoria. The only other city is Durban, which currently only has Level One Industry, but I will upgrade it when I get more resources.

In terms of specialisation, Windhoek will be used to produce Ordnance, Cape Town for Aircraft, Port Elizabeth for Tanks, and Pretoria for Infantry. Durban will be used for the Navy, and I imagine that Gaborone will be used for Tanks due to my insatiable desire for Armoured Units.

So, in conclusion, I am preparing for an invasion for Portuguese colonies before moving North into the Congo and then backstabbing Britain with Egypt.

      Ok bye!
If you picked that country on purpose I applaud you. You will learn stratagy and how to use your armies to the best of their ability.

I find picking a hard place to defend and work from good in helping learn the game. So well done on that.

Thank you, indeed I did pick it by my own accord, as I was looking for a more challenging nation to play as. In fact, France was still open, so was Brazil, but I've heard South Africa is fun to play as so I picked that particular nation. I have got a bit of "Major Fatigue" as I just got a Coalition W as the USA (although my coalition buddies were Brazil and Tibet).
