    • How to defeat heavy tanks?

I lost quite the few mechanised infantry trying to take a Heavy tank and Tank destroyer in a capital ..

Another city i managed to take a heavy tank stank with a lot of infantry, but hp was lowered a bit too much.

      What's the best tactic?

P.S Are heavy tanks good? I've heard it's expensive / slow but it's really good at defense. Perhaps i should get it late late game to join some stacks.
    • There are so many ways to defeat them. Artillery, Heavy Tanks, Rockets, RRG's, Attack Bombers, Commandos, TD's, Cruisers, Battleships, if on coast, etc.

true, i should reword my question. Will it be fine to use big stacks of infantry / mechanized infantry? I thought in urban tanks have a disadvantage. Though looking at the stats it seems this was a thing of the past?
    • Everyone has their own way of dealing with it. Mine depends on whether the stack is an active or AI player.

Active player stacks are tedious and costly to take out.

      AI's are predictable and easy.

Arty to bombard the stack with a stack of TD/AT mixed with inf between your arty and the enemy.
At some point the enemy AI stack will break up and some (not all) will advance towards the arty. They will run into your TD/AI/Inf stack. You now have the best defensive damage output.
Of course, terrain matters. This works best against a stack in a city. Make sure your TD stack is in the city grid.

Absolutely not, that will get all your units killed. They are both specifically weak against Heavy Armor, use the units I listed above.

Only the units I listed will work most the time, espicially if they're higher level HT's

    • I normally just kite them indefinitely with artillery. If I find myself cornered, just camp a forest or city with some infantry, and they'll handle the heavies just fine while the artillery barrage. Ironically, heavy tanks have the worst air damage imaginable, attack bombers are lethal, but we don't always got those available. Instead I use the ultimate bomber unit: the interceptor! No joke, interceptor swarms work great against isolated heavy tank targets.

But in general, just about every unarmored unit in the game can handle heavies reasonably well, and artillery/RRGs dumpster them as they cannot catch up. Aircraft do wonders against them. All you need to do is avoid light armor, and tanks in general outside of TDs.
Say hi on the discord <3.
    • Experienced players have given good responses to the question,I myself am taking tips.
To @Flabbawoki it comes down to this what I've noticed and experienced when I made my mistakes.A lot of units can be use to the job but certain units have their ability to do a specific job.You need the right tool for the right job.If you want to hit a nail into a plank, you can use a spanner but it will take a lot of effort and time to do it,if you want to hit a nail into a plank, use a hammer.
Now no one says you not allowed to use the spanner,if you feel you can do it like that, fair enough but don't ask afterwards why it was so hard.

As mentioned good players have shared their opinions, you have the recipe now.
