I can't wait to try the new resource setup. With less variety in resources, I might be able to keep unit production going instead of always trading on the market. I think we should wait until they are finished before judging this new feature.

GS it was a double post.

I have come to the conclusion that Bytro are possibly in financial difficulty.
They dont fix obvious bugs, their servers are at bursting point (noticeable on the weekend about 1700 CET when USA powers up), messing around with gold/war bonds and a takeover.

click the 1y or 5y from there. Investors lost 90% of their money when they bought it just four years ago. When the fake daddies are curtailed, we have failed. When their roller coaster tolerance is obliterated, their education funds are taken by Kazakhstani phishers, and their candy bars distributed between the Botswana youth gangs, we have succeeded.

But, where does all that money go that they get from gold and high command buyers?

Mot. Infantry needs same amount of food; bit more manpower; bit more money; some goods; bit of steel; some oil.
Commandos need same amount of food; even more manpower; very much money; some goods; tiny bit of steel.
[...]
>> If one sees manpower as amount of recruitable soldiers available for your nation, then yes. And I'd also love to have manpower that way in the game. However, unfortunately, it since CoW1.5 must be interpreted as amount of workforce, which is why I had given militia small manpower needs in my example. But I agree with you: Best to remove manpower needs of buildings and go back to the CoW1.0 interpretation of manpower as amount of soldiers. Then indeed militia should cost as much manpower as regular infantry.
"but the militia requires less basic equipment (i.e. goods)":
Exactly - that's what I also had in my example.
"commando's are small-sized highly trained units":
That's what they were in real life. However the CoW commandos are clearly full sized divisions with at least the same headcount as the other infantry units. Otherwise how should their immense combat strength (against units... I'm not talkinh about the damage they deal to buildings... which should even be increased) be explained?
So similar story here: If their stats and behaviour would be made realistic (so we can imagine them as the small units that they were) then indeed they shouldn't require much manpower.
"and specialized equipment (rares??)":
Good point, agreed - commandos should require some rares.
Anyhow - I didn't mean to go too much into detail here. What I meant to say is: It would be great if units and buildings require the resources that they needed in reality. And that this update was or hopefully still is your chance to do that step. I'm convinced it wouldn't hurt gameplay. Of course would require an entire revamp of resource requirements of all units. But we can wait. Much better to get such a great improvement after a long time than to get a downgrade (as this update is now) quickly. The post was edited 1 time, last by Hans A. Pils ().

Be kinda nice to go away for a couple weeks only and come back to the same game.

Hahahahaha. This is Bytro/Stillfront we are talking about here, not somebody who cares about its customers.

yeahDo ypu want COW to be more complex and tactical? Are you tired of updates that just add another P2W aspect of the game?
You are not alone, many other people share your veiws, which is why I decided to create the Improvement Party, a group dedicated to the goal of making the game more complex and less P2W.

I dont think any good player use commandos at game
you will pay rare material as extra and you will have weaker unit than an infantry
their stealth is useless and who cares their bonus against fortress noone build even fortress at game , if you saw a enemy fortress still you wouldnt send units to directly there , there are better ways to attack and destroy -
Undaunted, youz a yellowbelly, end of story
