limitation on war bonds

  • I joined a 4x speed a week ago on day 7....starting with almost 180k warbonds... and won...of course.

    It is good to limit the Warbonds. Magic should be limited. There is no such thing as White Magic; it is all Dark.

  • Before warbonds you used gold or booster card to heal troops, speed up builds and research. instant spy actions and resource purchases required gold, many players complained about gold and about the unfair advantage gold brought about, Bytro said they heard you and released warbonds as a solution(?), it did obfuscate the use of gold and gave players the options to use what had been exclusive gold features in the past, and gold was relegated to the purchase of resources, with the resource rebalance resource shortages became more acute, coincident ? Of course not, Now if you managed your resources wisely and staved off attacks as long as possible a game stratagy to build masses of low level troops and then do a 1 level upgrade, then rush all of the research through before the upgrade finished (with the stockpiled warbonds) you could indeed surprise you enemies with a higher level army, of course to do this in the past required a good amount of gold, now a resourceful player could do it for free,(Im pretty sure Bytro didn't like that and it had a negative effect on gold purchases) of course the same ones who complained about gold complained about warbonds (despite the fact that everyone got the same amount) So Bytro has listened to you and curtailed the stockpiling of warbonds. The game was never meant to be the best wargame simulation (although it could be) and free play will always keep it that way. You may not realize just how many player land onto this game but consider this, on Dec 12 I looked at the rankings and you can tell the total number of players that have joined the game as of that date it was 14,336,621, on 1/29 it was 14,529,342 so a little under 200K in new players in a month, these are the players they will always cater to, after all if you have been playing for any amount of time they already have you. The best the game can be is not their goal, Stillfront reported that Bytro was the major contributor to revenue and for the developers to justify their jobs they need to keep it that way.

    The original mission of the founders wás to create the best strategy game on the internet! And the succeeded (for a long time).

    A further mistake is that not many people complained about gold. Just a few skillless F2P, how coincidentally now love WBs, though they don't do any better bc of them (WB magic serves the better players better, naturally).
    No HC-member complained much about gold, bc they just consider it a challenge, mostly being the better player, for gold makes for lazy and dumb players.

    Its more than just a few, and it has been a common theme since 2015. And its not just this game, any free to play competive game where you can get premium items/ actions will have the free to play players telling the spenders that they lack skills, bought the game, ect. ect. If Bytro was really interested in providing the best strategy game on the internet they would present a level battle field that couldn't be swayed by a credit card, of course that would mean no free play and require a subscription or some other way way to generate revenue, but it may not generate the revenue that the current model produces. So if Bytro was sincere in stating why they put the limit on warbonds, why not do it on gold?
