I've noticed that aircraft do not have the highlighted areas around them when patrolling an area. If an aircraft flies over an area, shouldn't they be able to see what's on the ground or on the ocean?

Why do ships and land based units see through the fog when occupying an area, and not aircraft? If Naval bombers make "great scouts" as declared in their description, shouldn't they be able to see through the fog in the area they are patrolling?

Quasi got planes recently. Blue area is patrolled area. Quasi also studies history. You know how hard it is to collect data for an area at 250km/h+ while flying a heavy aircraft with no camera's? Incredibly hard, especially under enemy fire! Enemy fire means one run. More than one run means plane becomes smoking pile of meat and metal.Forum Gang Commissar

How is someone able to change airports they were patrolling from to another without returning and going to another ? I've taken over two provinces with airports that bombers/interceptors were patrolling "From" .. All of a sudden they change to another ?
Cheers! -
I've noticed I can redirect patrolling aircraft to attack away from the patrol area, or land at a new AB; depending on the fuel left. I have even directed planes around large areas to scout, avoiding AA bases. Makes for na interesting run.

I can redirect to without returning .. but I'm seeing changing to whole new AB patrolling from without return .. I thought if you took over province and AB fall under attack .. and have to return and if so crash .. and turn to caravan ... IDK or Understand how being done

This was in an update earlier. Planes now fly to nearest AB instead and if no AB is in range they return to their designated base and take a 25% morale bust for the crash landing.
