Ever since I joined the forums, I've seen a number of ideas that have come up that were great, but were discarded because they would confuse new players too much. I think I have a solution to that problem.

First of all, tutorial games for newbies should be separate from all other games so new players can work out their strategies with other new players. This would also help with any new players quitting because a high level player comes in and destroys them. I also think a warning should be put in that tells players when they join that if they don't log in within two days, they will be classified as inactive on the game.

Now let's get down to the point. I think several different 'levels' of gameplay could be added in with different features in each of them. The first level could be called 'arcade'. This level of gameplay would most likely be what we are currently at in all games. The second could be called 'simulator'. This level would add in new features not in the arcade level that would make the game a bit more realistic, while still having the more un-realistic features of the arcade level. The final level could be just called 'realistic'. This level of gameplay would include a lot of realistic features and not many un-realistic features. It would probably be the most challenging, so I suggest that it be locked off to new players until they reach a certain level to guarantee that they can deal with the new features.

Please tell me what you think below guys. I would also like it if you voted on my poll.

    • Too complicated.

I mean that it would be difficult for the designers.

    • I agree to all, ranked game play would be best. New players are always welcomed, but often get put off by someone coming in and stomping them. Sadly, I've been that person who stomped people: and I may have made some people give up on the game. The ranking system in the game should be used to gage what games you can join.

I have probably made a few new players quit myself. I assume the ranking system you are referring to is the player level system?

    • Yes. I don't like the idea of having players split into categories with different allowed items in each. I think they should have one category, and everyone can choose to learn how to use it or not use the game at all.

Even though It would probably grow the player base and get the majority of our ideas finally improved?

    • I read the word 'should' as 'will'. Because though I support some of the ideas, they wont happen (the ideas about ranked for instance). A lot of the suggestions I see, I also saw at Supremacy1914. And they were ignored there. Given that experience, I doubt it will be different here.

      I hope I am wrong:)
    • This is simple, killing the heart and soul of the game..

might as well, make a new game all together..

Add a bunch of new units, let people make their own ways of playing..
leave it to be free, let people decide how to play..

Leave it up to alliance to Train people..

Ocean, haven't you been seeing new people leave because an experienced player comes into their game and destroys them? Plus, I think a few players are probably a bit frustrated that their ideas aren't getting approved.

I'm just gonna change the voting on that poll so that people can change their vote.

      No I havent...

Nobody, when they just join, will just quit cos they lose..
maybe if the get gold abused..
I preferred my early days of playing, cos I was experimenting with tactics, and had more of a challenge..
Nobody will quit, the game cos they lost the first game they played..

If peoples, Ideas are getting approved, its more than likely, there is a valid reason
And I hate to say it, but I dont think most things get approved..
we just post and discuss.. but in time a lot will come..
