is there ANY bonus for fighting on your territory?

    • No. There is an invisible defender bonus, and attack nerf - but that is universal, across the board.

The only buff that you receive for being in your territory is the movement buff. 100% on YOUR territory, 80% on Allied, 50% on enemy territory. It can be seen at the bottom of the units stat pages.

Answer is no, fighting in your own territory will not be any different than other cases. No bonuses.
that's what i keep saying, but the guy who told me said he tested and retested it, and is convinced there is one.
Well, there is always a possibility that devs hide things from us (they definitelly do), so with extensive testing maybe he found out something we don't know, maybe some hidden bonus or something similar, but even if it exists, I don't think it is severe. I never felt big difference.

There isn't though. I'm convinced I'm invisible because I keep ringing people on the phone when they are outside my house but they can't see me, so I must be invisible, right?

Defenders have a random modifier that buffs their defence, and attackers the opposite. I have seen Infantry with same Attack vs infantry lose against Infantry with same Defense.

E.G. Infantry Level 1 defending, Infantry Level 2 Attacking, defender wins nearly every time.

      on whose territory?
    • There isn't a defender bonus, but defenders generally do better than attackers because their increased strength while defending (the exceptions to that rule are artillery and destroyers), or simply have no change at all. Every attack's/defense's damage dealt/received is random (within their maximum attack or defense). I'm no expert, but I think its highly unlikely there is an invisible defender bonus.

    • Ahh.

well there is no bonus for fighting in your own territory. And that is rather stupid, that there would be. Unless you are referring to the Core provinces/ Homeland.

There is a speed advantage, but none in direct engagement. However, a lot of units, their stats are stronger when defending. Maybe this is the info you need?.

    • The only "INVISIBLE" bonus for fighting in your own territory I have ever seen is defending your capital. And even that could potentially have been an Xfactor outcome. No way to tell. Usually when people see unusual outcomes that is what they are actually seeing. Either that or they don't really understand the bonuses and how to calculate them.
