but our f-18s will take ya :P
    Bring it on :-p
F-14 Tomcat at heart, but, since they're collecting rust/dust now, I go with the Raptor for the current generation of aircraft.
well, to be fair f-15 was the king off the skies, and still is to this day.

There were working on a carrier variant of the f-15, that would have been cool, will I make an combat aircraft talk thread?

F-14s were pretty class, But the Bombcat

It's probably the best pure fighter, without counting the F-15 of course, which is out of everyone's league.
Agreed. In a knife fight, I'd put the Eagle over the Tomcat, because of size/maneuverability. That is, if the F-15 didn't get knocked down by a Phoenix first. 50/50 chance of that IMO.

F-15 beats every thing that moves, Id take an F-15 Over the millennium falcon

Bombcat = a B-52 fighter variant. Not as effective as one would like lol.

Although, a Marine friend of mine swears up and down, that Tomcat's dropping bombs in Bosnia, got his squad out of a particularly nasty situation.

Do you have a source for this? Can't seem to find anything, seems like it would be a nice read. I imagine it would have a load of air-to-air missiles in the belly.

No, no source I'm afraid. Just drawing a comparison.

And yes, tons of Sparrows/Sidewinders hiding in the belly back in the day, or AMRAAM's now lol

What does an Oceanhawk have that could defeat, say, a Mil Mi-28?
Haha, Im looking foward to this

Firstly, the Havoc, isnt able to operate as a maritime aircraft. The MI-28N/MMW version is better equiped, however inferior to the Oceanhawk. The Oceanhawk is a faster aircraft. The Havoc, isnt really carrier capable.
I wont deny it, the Havoc has a much superior range, compared to the Oceanhawk.

The havoc, is really a AT weapon, wont beat the Oceanhawk in an aerial fight, The Oceanhawk can carry its hellfire missiles.. . Although not really the weapon to take into an A to A fight, still beats what the havoc will have..
Spiral AT missiles, and some rockets..

Overall, the havoc wont be able to get out to sea to question the Ocean's domination on the seas..
and once it did, it is slower, and its AT weapons, wont really be a match..

I meant in combat overall, if it is on the sea, how about a Seafire? Boom, you lost.

I only said, I was the king of the sea..

Even in overall combat, Id put my money on an Oceanhawk, they are better equiped, more hard points, strongers heli and better loadouts, the havocs are still pretty cool. I actually like them very much, just think they inferior to the Oceanhawk and the seahawks...

The Mi-28 has a chin turret, tear the Hawk's to pieces.

The Oceanhawk can take more of a punch
The Oceanhawk, also can mount a GAU17 ( minigun), And Id take that over the MI 28 30cal,

You do know that the Mi-28 has a 30 millimeter gun, not a .30 cal. Also, to use the GAU-17 the Hawk has to show it's widest side, y'know, the side that is biggest and easiest to hit?

    Had to test ya :P
The M134, does display its larger side, however cant deny bullets can still fly out other side.. also, the M134 can take a bunch, pls the hellfires would have taken out the Havoc in the first place. The Havoc aint got squat on the Oceanhawk

The Mi-28 has ASM's too. The M-28 would also have pilots better trained to deal with an attack. Hawk pilots are trained to find and destroy submarines, not aerial combat. The Mi-28 is made just to wreck crap in general.

This shows a complete lack of understanding of helicopters and aerial combat.

On another note, I would recommend either making a thread or PM'img me about this, since we may get in trouble here for OT.

Yes I will make a thread, after this..

The mi28, doesnt actually, carriers rocket pods, and AT6 Spiral Anti Armor missiles.
Hawk pilots, that is a broad term, and could include, Blawk hawk, whitehawk, jayhawk, seahawk, oceanhawk, rescuehawk, knighthawk or even pavehawk. However since you are referring to the Oceanhawk, we will take it from there.

Oceanhawk piliots, are not trained to just hunt subs. They are trained as a multi mission maritime pilot, And Oceanhawks are trained in numerous fields. This really shows, you lack of basic combat aircraft knowledge..

The Havoc, doesnt have the weaponary, compared to the Oceanhawk, and they are in different fields as well. But crossing eachothers roles, the Oceanhawk is ahead.

I Am making a new thread, so dont disappear
