    • A smart way of naming units!

So, we've had a lot of discussion over naming units and the pros and cons of such a thing, and to start with, let me lay those down.

      Pros:
      1. The growing RP community would make great use of these, as it would fit certain nations
      2. Organisation would be greatly improved
      3. As we can name certain ships and rockets, it seems logical.
      Cons:
      1. The RP community is still in its infancy, its hardly the size of the S1914 one.
      2. More pressing matters for the Devs
      3. Abuse of names- such as many Waffen SS names or the likes.

So, with these on the table I was thinking: how can we get around this? How can we give the RP players what they want, and still not violate German law? And then, it came to me- two different ideas which should completely be legal and good.

      1. The game has system that detects a certain number of units make a 'Division' I want to say its Three ore move units, but thats beside the point. Each nation had different names for unit make- Infantry and army made 'Panzer Grenadiers' within the German army: and such a thing still exists in the modern German army. This system would give each nation a little bit of individuality, and also still add a sense of realism.
      2. Renumbering units: simple things, it would change the unit ID and just allow us to better number our divisions- no idea how I went from 3rd Battleship flotilla to the 56th, but it happened.

I just found these ideas to please everyone, having "5th Heavy Panzer Division" would look certainly more Germanic, and then maybe the Soviets could have 'Guard' units (yes, I know its an honour title- awarded to divisions who showed bravery and didn't question why they had to run at machine guns) I just feel like unit organisation on this game is dreadful- everything is a 'Division' and we completely miss 'Corps' and 'Field Army' stage.
