    • Strange speeds Car vs Infantry

      Had a unit with
      1 Armored Car L1 (45 kmph, plains all the way, condition 92%)
      6 Infantry L1 (25 kmph, plains all the way, condition 98%)

      They went happily for some Capitol of an enemy.

      Split them during move, wanted Car first there to see AI reaction.

      Strange:
      Car will come only about 15 minutes faster then infantry. How is that, 45/25 = 1.8 ?
      Same modifiers for friendly and enemy territory move.

      Stopped them both, and restarted attack.
      Now it shows much faster ETA for Car. But still not 1.8 ratio (1.32)?

      What am I not seeing?

    • The fact you're starting on mountainous terrain and moving on to hills may help explain the issue, since level 1 infantry and cars only have 1 km/h speed difference in that mountains and 11km/h in hills.

    • Oh. Ok that explains ratio not being 1.8 (not really starting nor finish on mountains/hills, but passing middle province with mountains). Didn't see, colorblind, Thanks :rolleyes:

      First issue stays, if I do not stop them, just split them, only 15 min difference between car and infantry (on about 4h trip).

      If I stop them then, and then move separately, I get 1.32 (middle mountain effect).
