    • Trade routes

      A trade route would be a road that would be represented in a different color, that can connect to different countries to trade with them. Now I know you could just do that fine in diplomacy, but with a trade route, you can trade units faster. (If a unit is on the trade route that heads to a country, and is traded to another country, it will automatically move to that country and it would only take half as long to get there.) Not only that, but to any provinces that have the trade route with them, will have higher morale, production, and shorter production times. Trade routes can be destroyed by either air attack from some other country, or you and/or the country you are trading with declares war on the other. (You can also put units on it to defend your side.)

      In order to make a trade route, you may either: click on existing route to a neighboring country, and a panel will open that will have orders for said road, select trade route

      or, you can build a road by going to a province with infrastructure, and click and dragging the road out to the desired country. (will not work if you try to build it in a country you don't want to put the route in.)

      bridges can get you across the shores of other countries so you can trade with non-neighboring countries. It can also go 200km out into open sea, so you could reach another country.

      (trade routes are not possible if you either are at war with the country you would like to trade with, or you have a trade embargo with the country you would like to trade with.)

      Trade routes are affected by infrastructure also.

      all unit's movement (exept planes unless in convoy) +50 (+60 if province has infrastructure lvl 1, 70% lvl2 80% lvl 3)

      production times for all units -30%

      productivity for province +50%

      morale boost (if provinces morale is not at 100% Morale already) +8 a day

      all unit's movement (exept planes unless in convoy) +60 (+70 if province has infrastructure lvl 1, 80% lvl2 90% lvl 3)

      production times for all units -40%

      productivity for province +70%

      morale boost (if provinces morale is not at 100% Morale already) +10 a day

      (Trade routes can be upgraded via the research panel. (Either in armor, or in a new part called roads or something.)
