Well, another Airborne thread that I am creating. As a few year player of CoW, I can say I think Airborne units are NECESSARY for a quick and easy victory in many battles, I have fought many battles where I think to myself, "Man, I really need some airborne for this attack" Near the back of countries that I have fought, they don't have too many defenses that are well at defending. But I can't get back there until I defeat their main army, which happens to be about 100 units total, defend their provinces. So, airborne would really help, just fly over a province, and drop about 10 units and then they can attack. Thus, actually doing what airborne does what airborne does. Or, they could assist my main army in a defeat. I think this is a good idea, bytro, if you see this, PLEASE ADD AIRBORNE!!!
