    • Mock Presidential Race Pt. 3

Who should be the leader of Germany? 12
      1.
        Ellio- (AFD Party) (5) 42%
      2.
        Quasi-Duck (Left Party) (7) 58%
Per popular demand, the Race is back! Same rules apply as previous races, however I will re-state some of the more important things in this thread,

      -Everyone can run for president/PM/Chancellor
-Everyone can vote, whether you are a candidate or voter.
-Candidates can debate on this thread. Try to keep it semi-respectful otherwise I will request the thread to be closed under extreme circumstances (I'm pretty laid back on this, so don't be afraid)
-Voters may also question candidates and participate in debates.
-Voters may change votes at any time.
-If candidates wish to vote for another candidate they must resign from the race.
-New Rule: Candidates may NOT switch political parties to enable themselves to stay in race.

With all the rules Mumbo-jumbo aside now, let's get right into it!

First and foremost, the country you will all be running for is becoming the President of Germany!

Instead of setting political parties for you all to choose from, I am allowing you to pick any EXISTING political party in Germany. With the obvious exclusion of any sort of fascist, Nazi party due to Bytro's terms.

Check here often for updates or anything I add during the race. Everything will run relatively the same as the last 2!

Please format your application into the race as follows:

      -Forum name
-Political Party you wish to represent
-Maybe give first address on some major issues

(Note: Bolding your application will increase the chances of me spotting it through all the debating! Adding this info will make it much easier for me to sort through things so I appreciate it !)

From there, the rest is up to you guys!

Good luck! Let's get RIOOGHHT into the debates :P

The party primaries will end September 16th!

Note: Any use of this format, or idea is prohibited on the Call of War Forums, unless consent is given by the creator- Vex03.

      • Political Party: Free Democratic Party/Freie Demokratische Partei/FDP
      • Rough description of ideology: Classic liberalism/libertarian ( @oceanhawk Which means we believe in minimum government intervention in the life of a citizen, so NOT the American type of liberal)
      Some rough ideas:

      • Close the borders to anymore refugees, but keep the 1,5 million Germany already has, teach them German and train them for jobs Germany needs people for.
      • Continue in the international coalition against ISIS, supply weapons and ammo to the Kurds and send 100 troops to check how they are doing stuff and teach them to use the weapons.
      • As Germany is undoubtedly the leading power in the EU, push for reforms in the EU Parliament and the rest of the institutions.
      • German education is already good, but to make it even better, the system in place in Finland, the one that lets parents choose the public school they send their kids too so school compete between them, will be adopted here too.
      • Push for the signing of the TTIP.
      • Gradually make changes that will eventually lead to Germany having a flat tax income rate.
      • Open up the markets to everyone (aka free markets) except to countries on the UN terrorist list.
The past is a foreign country.

      • Start giving loans to start-ups with 0% interest to help their initial growth phases.

Slaps face.. really really really hard.. There is actually a big red mark left..

Okay, so first up, 2nd last point "Free markets"

A free market is not a market, that deals with Terrorist nations.. A free market, is a market free of a lot of regulation, and barriers.. (Like the liberal and socialist Protectionist ideas)

Government give out loans? Jeepers, (congrats @Quasi-duck you have pablo as one of your Leftest minons .. Is he secretly your running mate?)
Yea, just no.. Pablo, that is an awful idea, but for a change.. I will let you think about it, then debunk it..

And pablo, liberals are leftests, socialists and commies are just more to the left

Libertarians and Liberals, are pretty far away,

If Socialists understood Economics, they wouldn't be socialists

    • I, Quasi-duck, hereby promise to try my utmost to make cheap food a human right. One cannot survive on water alone.

A vote for Quasi will fill the bellies of the unfortunate with cheeseburgers and water!

Libertarians and Liberals, are pretty far away,
      1. I know what a free market. Perfectly well. I just want to make clear that under no circumstances we will be dealing with Commie nations.
      2. Governments giving out loans for start-ups helps them get started. It is in place in most countries in Europe.
      3. Look, let me teach you something. There are modern liberals (which are the bullshit, the bigger the better government guys) and classic liberals (which are also known as libertarians). I fall into the second category, but I call myself a classic liberal since there there are some libertarians in the US who I profoundly disagree with.
      4. I have to offer you something. How would you like to be my VP, @oceanhawk? You can advise me on what stuff to add and take from my program, and I will listen. If you agree, I will take off the loans stuff.
The past is a foreign country.
    • Considering I have absolutely no idea what happens in German politics, I'm randomly voting.
Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.
      -Winston Churchill

Attack rapidly, ruthlessly, viciously, without rest, however tired and hungry you may be, the enemy will be more tired, more hungry. Keep punching.

Yeah, but I'm a classic liberal, which is what Friedman and Hayek were.
They are libertarians, not liberals.. Liberals are center left..

just call yourself a libertarian or conservative, or anarchist if you really want.. if you wanna be on the right

and Obama, is certainly not Conservative or Libertarian, Obamacare might have been the biggest knife to stab America since the "New Deal"!
