I think 1 or 2 tanks should be ok.
But INF should be more ?

      Depending on lvl ?
I wasn't considering using the unit to transport more than 1 unit of any type at a time. This way the mechanic is limited, and while still allowing you to throw troops huge distances and reinforcing your outermost areas, it won't allow full armies to be airlifted around

What would the speed be? I take it slow?
Yes, quite slow, I put a suggestion of 130 km/h in the thread starter post

    • With the arrival of the aircraft carrier, that range problem I mentioned earlier isn't that big of a deal any more, but landing on a carrier with a huge plane laden with war material seems a little unlikely (unless of course, you were only able to carry the smaller infantry units), so setting the upper limit the same as a strategic bomber of the same level should be good.
Also checking Oceans long list of Suggestions, similar disembarkation times also seems interesting, but putting it between 4 1/2 and 3 hours for a level 1 airbase, matching the way naval bases work (airbases reducing the disembarkation time in a same way as the refuelling time is reduced)

Would "landing on a carrier with a huge plane laden with war material" be something (re: supply) we need to address in CoW?
Probably not, for balance and realism I'd say transporting heavy materials such as, say, tanks ready and able to do battle, shouldn't really be viable via aircraft carriers

Well, the C-130 can carry some IFV's I believe. It is around 50 years old too.

Hmm, good point, maybe allowing armoured cars? I believe they fill the role of the IFV without reaching the weights of LTs needed to form a combat unit? Of course you could put heavier vehicles in, and increase the disembark times to simulate the machinery and effort needed to get such heavy gear combat ready.

Sounds good! LT are fairly light though, it is in the name. Except for the Chaffee, of course....
