    • After much bitter fighting the world is once more at peace.

Not a single corner of the planet has been left untouched by war. Millions upon millions mourn fathers, brothers and sons killed in battle whilst many innocent civilians were sadly killed as a result of the conflict.

The rivers have run red and the crows have had their fill.

Yet one has to look at the future and rebuild once more hoping that this will be the last war. One can only hope and pray that one does not join those whose hopes have been dashed by the aggression that lurks within our genes.

The game has been intense from the very first day. The final phase of the game saw the collapse and obliteration of the aggressive European Alliance at the hands of Asia.

Asia was then set upon in Africa and Europe by the Mod Team

Whilst the attempts in Africa were once again thrown back into the sea, Europe fared much better with the Mod Team making it all the way to Berlin. A massive use of spies to undermine the mod effort featured highly in the Asian strategy with up to 30 spies being rounded up every day by the counter espionage efforts of the mods. Asia typically uses massive stacks which were outmanoeuvred repeatedly by multiple small stacks by the mods. In fact, the capture of Spain resembled a game of Pacman with the mod stacks keeping out of the way of the Turkistan mega stack. The latter was to perish in ballistic fury under a rain of V2 rockets.

The Mods were never threatened at home, a few attempted landings in Brazil were destroyed rapidly by V2 rocket fire.
The game had a subtly different dynamic in that some teams were able to develop large forces backed up by robust economies.Well at least the mod team.

The others could have been less aggressive at the start and expanded from a position of strength in the game. Whilst some teams gained the upper hand now and then it was largely as a result of the mods picking on one team or the other that swayed the balance of power.

Whether the mods or Asian team would have won is up in the air. The mods already had nuclear missiles and were pushing back the Asian team but it is thought that the Asian teams had reserves in some areas whilst others had collapsing economies. Who knows. Not wishing to contest for supremacy for a further 4-6 weeks it was agreed to end the game with the prizes of Gold and High Command membership being awarded to the surviving player team.
      Well done everyone.
    • I agree, the balance of the game ended up being so well done here. While Asia may have been larger, the EU had a higher ration of veteran players and the result was a thirty+ day war between Eurasia and the EU with the conflict only being determined by an unexpected assault by the mods which just so happened to coincide with a major push by Eurasia that broke the fighting spirit of the veterans. In short it was a great game, intrigue, betrayal, the constant whines of those whose units did not last as long as tehy thought they should, sabotage, blood, death, and ruin. Great game everyone.
Logic is the path to the Dark Side Mr. Spock. :wallbash
    • there was plenty of betrayal and intrigue, in fact the uglier face of humanity showed it's face on occasion.

there were things that could have been done better in respect of team administration. I think next time I need to appoint team captains as a first step. The clashes for leadership at the start were epic lol.
