Pontus, don't be rude. Chrissey, all the combat in this game is designed to take place over a period of time. I'd suggest sending out multiple units next time. Singles just aren't that good for very much.

I find it pretty useful to not build any additional infantry until the commando is available. This may be a small help, but everyone else has already given the rest of my advice.
