In the end, it's not that deep, Salazar isn't that bad as you potray him by nitpicking his mistakes. He ruled for a long amount of time, so there isn't a definite answer for his term. The last years were an outdated regime, while the first years was what was flourishing. He was the a ruthless dictator though.
Of course there will be something bad in 40 years?

When did I talk about him? I rarely do. I endorse him, for the good things he's done for the country, yes. And his character, which you can understand by listening to his speeches.Talvisota wrote:
Yeah to be fair Claudio, I am a little uncomfortable with you idolising a literal dictator....
Now, what is your favourite ice cream flavour?

In the nineties, that pride was devastated, and many Russians felt they had become some sort of colony of the West, where foreigners could take what they wanted and spit out everything else. They lost their Empire and became the laughing stock of the world. NATO could just break their promises to not expand Eastward. Oligarchs who had stolen the national wealth were welcomed with open arms when they took that wealth to London, Paris, and New York. All of that hurt, that really hurt.
Whatever crimes he committed, Putin managed to reverse that narrative. Today, the West loathes and fears Putin, but they certainly don't laugh at him. And for many Russians, he can violate a human right here and there, murder an opponent every once in a while, etc, if only he makes Russia great again (no pun intended). When the fake daddies are curtailed, we have failed. When their roller coaster tolerance is obliterated, their education funds are taken by Kazakhstani phishers, and their candy bars distributed between the Botswana youth gangs, we have succeeded.

Isn’t Trump just a mini-Putin?
-
Similar in some ways, but I think Trump would decrease civil rights (at the very least for white males) a bit less, and focus on enriching himself and his fellow oligarchs. Unlike Putin, who wants to actually achieve political goals, Trump cares more about himself and increasing his wealth without ending up in jail. He spreads his views more to gain support and prop himself up than to create a fascist state and invade countries and such. To put it simply, a bit less ambitious. Definitely a strongman who wants to have a ridiculous amount of power, but not for any specific long term plans.

Well apart from Moscow and St.Petersburg, infrastructure in Russia is rather garbage. Snow for example takes months to clean up in provincial cities, you get those muddy snow puddles at one point. Healthcare and education definitely did improve for a while. Sadly they added propaganda to education, with children being taught to support their country and Z and fight against the gay plague or whatever nowadays. Kinda like in America after 9/11, but stepped up and anti and lasted far past 2001-2 and such.

Well, the infrastructure from Moscow part isn't true. You can see even remote cities in Siberia have a Tram system. Grozny's rebuilding was fantastic. Basically all big cities in Russia have good enough infrastructure if you really look at them. Russia isn't really AS bad as it seems it is.The Saviour -

I'm wondering in my head, why can't they make a common forum for all games? It's much more convenient. Just divide them into categories.
I'll dilute the topic. -
